Clarissa Explains It All:

A show about a quirky , smart, and optomistic teenager trying to survive middle school through high school. By breaking the "fourth wall" she gets to talk to her audience while going through her share of teenaged dilemas. Her best friend is Sam and his usual entrance to the show is up a ladder and through her window (following his signature grundge-alternative guitar riff). Clarissa is always being pestered by her annoying little brother Ferguson (who's face is the center on a dart boarded behind her door). Clarissa Explains it all lead the way for many of the shows today such as Zoey 101, True Jackson VP, and of course iCarly. Reruns of the show will be airing in the fall of 2011.





Doug:

Doug Funnie is a Junior is high school who is always being pushed around by a bully names Rodger Klotz. He is also not very good at talking to his long time crush Patti Mayonnaise. His best friend is Skeeter and the one thing they love is The Beets (parody of The Beetles). They are a rock band with catchy tunes such as "Killer Tofu." Doug can always count on his dog Porkchop and his imaginative creative writing skills.



Salute Your Shorts:

One of the greatest and most memorable Nickelodeon shows (well in my opinion of course). Salute Your Shorts is set at a the summer camp of Camp Anawanna. Based off the 1986 book Salute Your Shorts: Life at a Summer Camp by Steve Salvkin, it focuses of teenage campers and a strict camp counselor. The title of the show comes from an old prank boys used to play on eachother by stealing boxer shorts and raising them on the flagpole. When other kids would see the shorts on the flag pole they would salute them as park of the prank. This show only lasted a few seasons but left its mark on Nickelodeon.
